The 11th best starting pitcher in the 2015 Valley League season is Staunton’s Nick Margevicius, from Rider!
For the Braves, Nick went 4-1, 3.03, with a 1.214 WHIP, 2.1 BB/9, and 6.5 K/9 in 38 2/3 innings pitched. He allowed 38 hits, only 9 walks, and struck out 28. His best start was on June 30th against Waynesboro, when he threw 7 1/3 innings and allowed 3 hits, 2 runs (1 earned), 2 walks, and struck out 5.
The 6-3, 225 pound lefty was used quite a bit as a freshman at Rider in ’15. He went 5-4, 4.29, with 77 hits, 22 walks, and 50 strikeouts in 65 innings.
