Former Staunton Brave James Reeves (2013), a 10th round draft pick of the Yankees in 2015, made the most of his first ever minor league start on May 18th, throwing 4 perfect innings while striking out 7.
James started this season at Low-A Charleston, logging 10 innings, and has since thrown 12 innings in High-A Tampa. Overall, he’s 2-1, 2.45 in 22 innings, while allowing only 7 hits, 9 walks, and striking out 38 batters. That K rate is phenomenal!
After he was drafted in 2015, James spent the short season in the New York-Penn League, going 1-1, 3.08, with 26 hits, 12 walks, and 27 strikeouts in 26 1/3 innings pitched.
Keep up the good work, James!
