Division I Leaderboard Extravaganza

Well, this took quite a bit longer than I expected.

Using ncaa.com, I’ve culled the stat categories, each to 50 players, to see which former Valley Leaguers show up as leaders in all of D-I. This is the first year I’ve kept track of this, so I can’t compare the numbers, but it sure seems like there are a ton of guys doing well. In fact, there are 27 different hitters and 17 different pitchers listed below.

It is entirely possible that I’ve missed someone, so if that’s the case, drop me a line and I’ll add the player.

Also, this is “just” Division I, but I have plans to go through Division II and III in the coming days.

All stats are through April 28 (unless otherwise noted). First number is overall place in all of Division-I.

  1. Superb performances, great report. Let’s see which of these earn MLB draft picks (always expertly reported by one John Leonard).
