On Sunday, John Williams (Haymarket 2012) took the mound against Saint Louis in Fairfax. He ended up throwing a tremendous game, finishing 8 shutout innings, while allowing only 5 hits, 1 walk, and striking out 3 to earn his third win of the year.
On the season so far, John is 3-1, 2.78, while allowing 33 hits, 11 walks, and striking out 18 in 35 2/3 innings pitched. George Mason is now 24-16, 11-5 on the year.
John had an excellent summer in Haymarket in 2012- in 11 games (10 starts), John was 3-3, 3.67, with 56 strikeouts in 61 1/3 innings pitched.
