Once again, I’m getting to leave- but this time for a couple days. We’re travelling to Kitale to see some “old” friends of mine who are in an orphanage called Seeds Children’s Home. I will not be able to post on Monday’s games until Wednesday, but rest assured, I will catch up!
Results from Sunday
Aldie 3, Winchester 2
Harrisonburg 7, Waynesboro 6
Covington 7, Charles Town 6
New Market 11, Staunton 10
Woodstock 6, Front Royal 4
Hitter of the Day
Our hitter of the day is Covington’s Blake Edwards, who also won this “award” back on June 7th. Blake, from Columbus State, went 4-5 last night, with 2 runs, and RBI, and a SB. Check out these numbers for the year: 513/525/641, 20-39 with 6 stolen bases. This is a small sample size, of course, so we can’t expect him to keep hitting at THIS rate, but what a tremendous start for Blake!
