1. Harrisonburg Turks: 29-13, 1 games remaining: at Cov. THEY HAVE CLINCHED FIRST PLACE.

2. Waynesboro Generals: 25-16, clinched top 4 seed, 3 games left: at Stan, at NM, at Wood. The Generals hold the tie-breaker against both Front Royal and Staunton, so with two wins the Generals would finish as the 2nd seed. With three wins (or two wins and one Front Royal and Staunton loss), the Generals are in 2nd place alone.

T3. Front Royal Cardinals: 25-17, clinched top 4 seed, 2 games left: at Wood, CT. Two wins, assured a tie for 3rd. Front Royal holds the tie-breaker against Staunton.

T3. Staunton Braves: 25-17, clinched top 4 seed, 2 games left: Waynes, at Wood.

5. Charles Town Cannons: 22-19, 2 games left: Stras, at FR. With 2 wins and 2 losses by either Front Royal or Staunton, the Cannons will still be 1/2 game behind. Therefore, the Cannons are LOCKED INTO 5th PLACE.

6. Strasburg Express: 21-21, LOCKED INTO 6TH PLACE. Games left (1): at CT. If Strasburg beats Charles Town tonight, and the Cannons lose to Front Royal, the Cannons and Express will be tied for 5th place. According to league rules, the first tie breaker will be head to head play. They have played 5 times already, and Charles Town has won 4 of the 5. So Strasburg is 6th!

7. Covington Lumberjacks: 18-23, 2 games left: Harr, at Winc.

8. Aldie Senators: 18-25, 1 game left: at Winc. With a win tonight, Aldie clinches at least the 8th spot. If Covington loses both their remaining games, and Aldie wins, Aldie will be 7th, and Lumberjacks 8th. Even if Woodstock wins both their remaining games, they will fall 1/2 game short of Aldie. If Aldie loses tonight, and Winchester beats Covington Monday, the Royals and Senators will be tied. Winchester is 3-2 against Aldie right now, so the Royals will be the 8th seed.

T9. Winchester Royals: 16-26, 2 games left: Aldie, Cov. See Aldie writeup.

T9. Woodstock RiverBandits: 15-25, 2 games left: FR, Waynes. If Woodstock wins out, and Winchester beats Aldie tonight, but then loses to Front Royal on Monday, this is how things will stand: Aldie 18-26 (.409); Winchester 17-27 (.386), Woodstock 17-25 (.405). I suppose that means that Woodstock would still fall short, which also means that the RiverBandits are eliminated.

11. New Market Rebels: 15-27, 1 game left: Waynes. Eliminated from contention.

Playoffs would look like this if the season ended today:

8 Aldie vs. 1 Harrisonburg

7 Covington vs. 2 Waynesboro

6 Strasburg vs. 3 Staunton or Front Royal

5 Charles Town vs. 4 Staunton or Front Royal

Out: New Market, Winchester and Woodstock
