Josh Gardiner, from Radford, had a solid year in the Valley League in 2012 with the Strasburg Express. He hit 287/370/383 in 167 at-bats, along with 6 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs, and 19 stolen bases.
In 2014, playing for the Amsterdam Mohawks in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, Josh not only had a fantastic season, but he was also named the MVP of the fledgling league.
Josh hit 415/543/511 for the Mohawks, along with 10 doubles, 1 home run, 29 RBIs, and 16 stolen bases. The website Perfect Game named Josh a first team Summer Collegiate All-American at second base as well.
