One night after Cory Spangenberg (Winchester 2010) made his own debut in the show, Ryan Dennick (Fauquier 2008) made his own, becoming, according to my records, the first Fauquier Gator to make the major leagues!
Ryan came into the game for the Reds in the 6th inning last night, and retired the side on 11 pitches- including one strikeout.
The 6-foot lefty earned his callup, as he put up the best year of his career in Triple-A in 2014. In 49 2/3 innings at Louisville, Ryan went 4-0, 2.36, with a 1.21 WHIP, 3.3 BB/9, and 7.1 K/9.
And he has a finely crafted beard, too.
Congratulations, Ryan!
