So the Houston Astros fired Bo Porter, their manager.
Not a big deal for Valley League fans, right? Well, it may not resonate until we take a look at who was hired to replace him and his bench coach, Dave Trembley, who was also let go.
Tom Lawless is the new manager, and the new bench coach is…. wait for it….. Adam Everett, former major leaguer and Winchester Royal! Everett played for the Royals in 1996, and went on to have a 11-year career in the big leagues. He was always known as a tremendous defensive shortstop.
