In our next installment of best minor league seasons since the 2006 draft, we have a monster list of 15 players (well, 15 seasons, if not different players) who had the most doubles in a season.

Take a look:

1 Clint Robinson Harrisonburg ’05-06 2010 41
2 Dalton Hicks Luray ’09 2013 39
3 Clint Robinson Harrisonburg ’05-07 2012 37
Ryan Schmipf Luray ’08 2012 37
5 Yonder Alonso Luray ’06 2010 36
6 Tyler Bortnick Front Royal ’06 2010 35
Clint Robinson Harrisonburg ’05-06 2011 35
Rudy Flores Haymarket ’10 2014 35
9 Jeff Kindel Covington ’03 2007 34
Dan Murphy Luray ’05 2007 34
Rebel Ridling Covington ’06 2009 34
Ben Guez Covington ’06 2009 34
Rebel Ridling Covington ’06 2010 34
Collin Cowgill Covington ’05 2010 34
Tyler Bortnick Front Royal ’06 2011 34

Clint Robinson, major leaguer, is on this list three times, and is the only player to top 40 doubles in one year. It’s nice to see a couple other major leaguers on the list, too: Yonder Alonso, Dan Murphy, and Collin Cowgill.

Tyler Bortnick and Rebel Ridling are also on the list multiple times. Bortnick is still active (reached Triple-A), but Ridling was released after the 2012 season.

Rudy Flores is the most recent entry, with his 35 doubles in 2014.

Dalton Hicks, Ryan Schimpf and Flores are all active. Ben Guez is currently a minor league free agent.

Triples is the next category- one of the rare ones that does not include Clint Robinson! (Stolen bases, too…)
