Today we take a peek at the former Valley Leaguers who have the most hits in the minor leagues since the 2006 draft. The top is no surprise- it’s Clint Robinson again!- but what might be a surprise to some, is that he topped 1,000 career minor league hits in 2014!
| 1 | Clint Robinson | Harrisonburg ’05-06 | 1016 |
| 2 | Joey Butler | New Market ’06 | 802 |
| 3 | Tyler Kuhn | Luray ’06-07 | 725 |
| 4 | Tony Thomas | Harrisonburg ’05 | 715 |
| 5 | Ben Guez | Covington ’06 | 681 |
| 6 | Blake Tekotte | Woodstock ’06 | 664 |
| 7 | Brian Bocock | Luray ’04 | 633 |
| 8 | Eric Campbell | Luray ’06 | 630 |
| 9 | Matt Camp | Covington ’03 | 611 |
| 10 | Scott Cousins | Harrisonburg ’05 | 590 |
An amazing 6 out of the 10 players on this list have played in the major leagues (Robinson, Butler, Tekotte, Bocock, Campbell, and Cousins). Kuhn and Camp are out of affiliated ball, but Thomas and Guez are still hanging in there. Thomas is now with the Minnesota Twins, and Guez signed with Milwaukee this offseason.
Another quick note: Bocock just signed with the Kansas City Royals as a minor league free agent.
Doubles are next!
