Another Valley League alum is off to a great start in his 2015 college baseball season- Thomas Spitz (Harrisonburg 2013, 2014), from Wingate!
The team’s website has not updated the complete stats since February 22, but it’s still worth looking at Thomas’s start.
Through Wingate’s first 12 games, Thomas was hitting 471/525/1.000 in 51 at-bats, with 21 runs, 21 RBIs, 3 doubles, 3 triples, and an insane 6 home runs! He had struck out only 3 times, and walked 5 times.
Wingate has played three more games since that cut off point. Thomas has gone 3-14 in those games, with 4 more RBIs and 3 more runs scored.
Great start, Thomas- keep it up!
