Following up the post on Zach Mawson’s (Staunton 2013) excellent start, we now have former Harrisonburg Turk Brandon Gold (2014), who threw 7 shutout innings yesterday for Georgia Tech against Indiana State!
Brandon, making his first start of the year (but third total appearance), gave up only 1 hit, 1 walk, and struck out 4 to earn the win. On the year so far, he’s now 1-0, 1.26, with 11 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings pitched.
He’s started 7 games in the field as well, and is hitting 348/423/652 in 23 at-bats!
