On June 26th, Ryan Schimpf (Luray 2008) hit his 10th home run of the 2015 minor league season- 8 for Double-A New Hampshire, and 2 for Triple-A Buffalo.
In and of itself, that’s not a big deal, except that Ryan had 90 career minor league home runs coming into 2015. Do the math, everyone- this, of course, gives him 100 career minor league home runs!
To put this in a bit of perspective, since the 2006 minor league season, Ryan has the 2nd most career home runs, trailing only Clint Robinson, who has 141 in his career (and who is now hitting them in the major leagues).
Congratulations, Ryan!
