Hitter of the Day
The HOD is Covington’s Jonathan Corbitt, who went “only” 1-1, but that one was rather important. Jonathan hit a game-winning 3-run home run in the bottom of the 4th against Strasburg, breaking a 1-1 tie. The game ended very quickly after that due to rain. Corbitt, from Lynn University, is now hitting 289/345/539 in 76 summer at-bats. He also has 5 home runs!

The pitcher of the day is Steven Ridings, from Charles Town and Messiah College! Steven threw 8 awesome innings,
allowing only 4 hits, 2 earned runs, 1 walk, and struck out a whopping 15 batters. His bullpen didn’t hold the lead, so he didn’t get the win, but his game score was a very high 80. For the summer, Steven is 3-0, 2.31, with 57 strikeouts in 42 2/3 innings pitched.
