Pitcher of the Day
I must admit that today’s winner threw me for a loop for a couple minutes. So Brandon Caples threw 9 innings
against Winchester, allowing 7 hits, 2 earned runs, 1 walk, and striking out 7. Wait- for Harrisonburg?!? After some frantic searching and messaging, I discovered that Purcellville released Brandon, and the Turks signed him. Well, Brandon didn’t earn the win, but with a game score of 71, he’s the POD. Combined, he’s now 3-2, 3.04 in 47 1/3 innings pitched.
