The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) has released its “Stopper of the Year” preseason watch list for the 2017 college season, and three former Valley Leaguers have made this initial, rather long list.
The “Stopper of the Year” is awarded to the top reliever in all of Division-I college baseball.
Here are the three former VBLers listed:
- Michael Catlin, Longwood (Winchester 2015)
- Zach Cook, Winthrop (Charlottesville 2015)
- Devin Gould, Longwood (Staunton 2015)
