Here is where Chris Perez really laps the competition- major league saves since the 2006 draft:
| 1 | Chris Perez | Staunton ’04 | 133 |
| 2 | Will Harris | Staunton ’03 | 14 |
| 3 | Tyler Thornburg | Winchester ’08 | 13 |
| 4 | David Carpenter | Covington ’04 | 4 |
| 5 | Josh Edgin | Winchester ’07 | 1 |
| Chris Devenski | Woodstock ’11 | 1 |
Wow. Close race for 2nd, but it will be years before anyone threatens Perez. Thornburg saved all of his 13 in 2016, while Harris saved 12 of his 14 just last season. (And Devenski made his major league debut last April, so his came in 2016 as well!)
Next up is strikeouts….
