We’re down to our last category- seasonal pitchers’ stats. We have wins, saves, strikeouts, and WAR. We start with wins…
| 1 | Tyler Thornburg | Winchester ’08 | 2016 | 8 |
| 2 | Brandon Beachy | Woodstock ’08 | 2011 | 7 |
| 3 | David Carpenter | Covington ’04 | 2014 | 6 |
| 4 | Brandon Beachy | Woodstock ’08 | 2012 | 5 |
| Chris Perez | Staunton ’04 | 2013 | 5 | |
| Will Harris | Staunton ’03 | 2015 | 5 | |
| Chad Kuhl | New Market ’12 | 2016 | 5 | |
| 8 | Chris Perez | Staunton ’04 | 2011 | 4 |
| David Carpenter | Covington ’04 | 2013 | 4 | |
| Will Harris | Staunton ’03 | 2013 | 4 | |
| Chris Devenski | Woodstock ’11 | 2016 | 4 |
Since the 2006 draft, no Valley League alumnus has won more than 8 games in a season- set by Tyler Thornburg in 2016. Chad Kuhl and Chris Devenski also joined the list last year.
Brandon Beachy, David Carpenter, Will Harris, and Chris Perez are on the list twice.
I’m looking for a bump in 2017- Devenski, Thornburg, Kuhl, and Harris should all have major league jobs out of spring training (although Thornburg is on the DL).
