Three former Valley Leaguers, all from the 2017 Charlottesville Tom Sox, have been named to D3baseball.com’s preseason All-America teams (for Division 3, of course).

  • Cole Migliorini was named to the first team at outfield. From Randolph Macon, Cole hit 399/484/712 in college in 2017, then hit 256/308/376 for the Tom Sox.
  • Jack Barry was named honorable mention at third base. From Salisbury, Jack went 0-10 in the regular season for the Sox, and then 3-17 in the playoffs. In college, he hit 333/486/618 in 2017. He led his team with 12 home runs.
  • You may have heard of this guy- Michael Wielansky was also named honorable mention- at shortstop. Michael, of course, was the Valley League MVP in 2017, hitting 432/489/677 in the regular season. For Wooster last spring, he hit 425/509/731, and was named the regional D-III player of the year.

Congrats to all three!
