On June 6th, 2015, Staunton’s Reed Hayes threw 4 shutout innings against the Charlottesville Tom Sox while allowing only 1 hits, 2 walks, and striking out 6.
Reed went on to get drafted in the 13th round in 2017 by the Baltimore Orioles.. and is currently in Delmarva, Baltimore’s South Atlantic League affiliate.
