Ryan Schimpf (Luray 2008), just recently returned to Double-A New Hampshire from Triple-A Buffalo, ripped two home runs last night to run his total for 2014 to 8 (he also walked once).
Ryan played only 9 games in Triple-A before heading back to the Eastern League. For Buffalo, he hit 160/344/320 in 25 at-bats.
In Double-A, though, Ryan has been killing the ball, as his season totals are 297/436/689 for an OPS of 1.125. In 22 games, Ryan has 15 runs, 15 RBIs, 8 doubles, and 7 home runs. He’s also walked 17 times. I think he needs to go back to Buffalo!
