Hitter of the Day

Our hitter of the day is none other than Michael Sillyman, from Memphis and Winchester. Michael went 3-4 with 2 runs and a triple in the Royals’ victory over the Braves. The very large DH (he’s listed at 6-6, 245) is now 3-12 on the season.

Last night, we had the first game score tie for first all year. In this case, we go with the pitcher who got the most outs for his team, so

the pitcher of the day for Thursday is Waynesboro’s Zach Williamsen, from Nebraska-Omaha! (And this is assuming that the run he gave up was earned… which feels like a safe assumption since the Generals didn’t have an error last night.) Zach threw 5 innings and allowed 3 hits, the aforementioned 1 run, 0 walks, and struck out 8 to earn the win against Woodstock. His game score is 66. Zach has now thrown 7 shutout innings this season.
