Last night, against Strasburg, Nick went 2-4, with a run, 5 RBIs, a HBP, a stolen base, and a home run, which happened to be a grand slam. On the year so far, Nick is hitting 220/304/317 in 41 at-bats. Nick has attended Mount St. Mary’s, but is listed on his player page as going to Frostburg State.

Pitcher of the Day

Our pitcher of the day is a repeat winner- Waynesboro’s Jeff Schank! The lefty from Butler achieved a game score of 74 last night,

after throwing 7 shutout innings against Front Royal, allowing only 4 hits, 2 walks, and striking out 7 to earn the win. Jeff’s been amazing so far this summer season: He’s 3-0, 1.70, with 18 hits, 6 walks, and 25 strikeouts in 26 1/3 innings pitched. Just a few more solid starts for Jeff will make him a likely choice for a top starter at the end of the year!
