We’ll start off our top 15 list of relievers with Josh Sharik, from Charlottesville and Rider!
Josh went 1-5, 2.79 for the Tom Sox, with 2 saves, a 1.214 WHIP, 3.0 BB/9, and 5.1 K/9 in 38 2/3 innings. He pitched in 14 games in relief, and started one.
For Rider as a freshman in 2014, he went 1-5, 2.57, with 1 save, a 1.12 WHIP, 2.6 BB/9, and 4.5 K/9 in 42 innings pitched. In 2015, he pitched in 33 games, and went 2-5, 4.47, with 1 save, a 1.38 WHIP, 3.1 BB/9, and 5.1 K/9 in 46 1/3 innings. He led the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in games pitched, and set a Rider record with those 33 appearances.
In a side note, Sharik attended Plumstead Christian School, in Plumsteadville, Pennsylvania. My high school (Christopher Dock) used to play Plumstead in at least basketball.
Congrats on your fine summer, Joshua!
