Hitter of the Day
Several strong candidates today, but the best stats were put up by Mitchell Webb, from Charlottesville and the University of Georgia! Mitchell went 4-4, with 2 runs, 2 RBIs, a home run, and a stolen base. He’s 7-19 in the ’16 VBL season, which comes out to 368/400/579. The sophomore infielder hit 192/299/299 in 167 at-bats for the Bulldogs this spring.

Pitcher of the Day
Our POD is Harrisonburg’s Tucker McCoy, from James Madison! Tucker threw 6 shutout innings against Covington,
allowing only 2 hits, 1 walk, and striking out 4. He earned the win and a game score of 71 (the best since last Tuesday, June 7th). The Spotswood graduate is now 1-1, 2.25 in 12 innings, with 11 strikeouts this summer. As a sophomore at JMU in ’16, Tucker went 0-1, 10.03 in 23 2/3 innings pitched.
