Hitter of the Day
Our hitter of the day is Winchester’s Peter Rivera, from Palm Beach Atlantic College! In his first at-bats of the summer, Peter went 4-4, with 2 runs, 2 RBIs, and 2 doubles. He had a fantastic spring for Palm Beach; he hit 356/404/568 in 132 at-bats. His 14 doubles led the team.

Pitcher of the Day
Our POD is the second repeat winner of the summer- Front Royal’s Erne Valdes, from St. Thomas. Erne, who also won POD on June 3rd, threw 6 excellent innings against Strasburg, allowing only 4 hits, 2 runs (1 earned), 3 walks, and struck out 6. He’s started 4 games this summer thus far, and is 2-1, 1.14, with 14 hits, 9 walks, and 27 strikeouts in 23 2/3 innings. Well done!
