Over 9 games (8 starts), Blake went 3-2, 3.88, with a 1.355 WHIP, 3.7 BB/9, and 10.2 K/9 in 48 2/3 innings pitched. he led the league with 55 strikeouts in those 48.2 innings. He also threw 7 shutout innings in the playoffs, while adding 8 more K’s. His best start was on July 7th against Staunton, when he threw 7 shutout innings while allowing 2 hits, 1 walk, and striking out 13. The Cardinals won the game, 1-0. According to game score, it was the 4th best start of the entire 2016 season!

As a freshman in 2015, Blake went 3-4, 5.48, with 35 walks, 42 strikeouts, and 70 hits allowed in 67 1/3 innings. He led the Spartans in wins, ERA, starts (11), innings pitched, walks, and strikeouts. As a sophomore in 2016, he went 0-4, 5.87, with 75 hits, 20 walks, and 45 K’s in 53 2/3 innings pitched.
