Hitter(s) of the Day

This doesn’t happen too often, but every once in a while two hitters have incredible nights, and I find it impossible to choose between them. So, since this is my space, after all, and I can choose what I do, I have decided to name two hitters of the night from Friday.

  • Winchester’s RJ Ball, from Daytona State, had our first amazing game. He went 3-4, with 3 runs, 4 RBIs, a double, and two home runs. If you’re counting, and you should be, that’s three extra base hits for the young man from Haines City, Florida. He’s now hitting 257/422/543 in 35 at-bats for the Royals. RJ is transferring to Keiser University for the upcoming year.
  • Max Wood, from Staunton and Central Florida, is our second winner. It’s hard to ignore 6 times on base, which is exactly what Max did last night against Covington. Max went 3-3, with 3 runs, 2 RBIs, 3 walks, a triple, and a home run. Wow! Max is now hitting 348/441/543 in 46 at-bats this summer.
