He’s hitting 391/452/555 overall, with 12 doubles, 3 triples, 9 stolen bases, and a 13/12 BB/K ratio. Michael will be in the all-star game this afternoon, obviously.

Today’s Game

The All-Star game, held in Harrisonburg. 60-yard dash at 4:50, home run derby at 5:20, first pitch at 7:30. Be there! (I will be- I’ll most probably be wearing a bright red Phillies shirt. Stop by and say hello!)

  1. Yep, Alec Aleywine is a remarkable 2-way player – leads VBL with 26 RBI on 34 hits (how about that!) and, at 6-2, 260 lbs. he has speed – 6 SBs and often legs out an extra base. Have to say, it’s a mystery that Alec wasn’t selected to represent the VBL in the 5-league Southern All-Star Showcase at Kannapolis, NC., especially considering the stated emphasis on guys that can contribute on the mound and at the plate!

  2. Also at today’s VBL All-Star Day, installation of the seven members of the VBL Hall of Fame Class of 2017, scheduled for 7pm.
