Our last minor league player of the year goes to the Triple-A pitcher of the year, chosen from the Pacific Coast and International Leagues!
The past:
| 2016- Chad Kuhl (New Market 2012) |
2015- Scott Copeland (Staunton 2007)
2014- Adam Liberatore (Waynesboro 2007-08)

And the 2017 Triple-A Pitcher of the Year is former Luray Wrangler (2012) Ryan Yarbrough! Ryan pitched for Triple-A Durham in the International League last season, and went 13-6, 3.43 in 26 starts and 157 1/3 innings, along with a 1.16 WHIP, 2.2 BB/9, and 9.1 K/9. I would be shocked if he does not join the three pitchers listed above as a major leaguer someday soon. He was named pitcher of the week by milb.com twice, and then an organizational all-star after the season. He was also ATVL’s 2016 Double-A and 2014 Short Season A Pitcher of the Year. This is #3!
Others to consider:
