Trey Jacobs UNC Pembroke 2018These UNC Pembroke guys at Staunton have really been hitting so far. Our HOD is Trey Jacobs, a redshirt sophomore at Pembroke. He went 4-5 last night, with a run, 3 RBIs, and a home run. He’s hitting 353/353/529 in his first 17 at-bats this summer. At college, he hit an excellent 417/439/700 in 230 at-bats. Keep an eye on this guy!

This was an easy call: it’s Charlottesville’s Nicholas Roth, from Randolph-Macon! Nicolas Nick Roth Charlottesville Tom Sox 2018threw 5 perfect innings while striking out 5 batters over 59 pitches. His game score is 72. This was his 2nd appearance, but his first was “only” a perfect 1/3 of an inning. Nicolas went 11-1, 3.13 at Macon, with an 8/78 BB/K ratio in 89 innings pitched. Whoa!
