JD Mundy Virginia Tech 2018Another easy choice, last night’s HOD is Covington’s JD Mundy, from Virginia Tech! JD went 4-5, with 3 runs, 2 RBIs, a double, and most importantly, a 2-run walk-off home run against the Staunton Braves. After 23 at-bats this summer, he’s hitting 391/444/456, and has a 5-game hitting streak. For Tech this spring, he hit 257/376/456 in 136 at-bats.

He did not earn a decision, and his game score is 56. He’s 0-0, 3.60 after 10 innings this summer, with 11 strikeouts. For Bloomsburg this spring, he went 5-1, 3.83, with 39 K’s in 44 2/3 innings.
