Our hitter of the day, for the second time in 6 days, is Covington’s JD Mundy, from Virginia Tech! JD went 3-4, with 3 runs, 3 RBIs, 2 home runs, and a double. He’s now hitting 400/450/800 in 35 at-bats this summer, with 10 runs and 10 RBIs.

Pitcher of the Day
Our pitcher of the day is the awesomely-named Bryce Zaparzynski, from Covington and Mansfield University! (Covington sweep of the awards today.) Bryce went 6 innings against the Rebels while allowing 5 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, and striking out 6. He earned the win and a game score of 63. He’s now 1-0, 4.72, with 13 K’s in 13 1/3 innings pitcehd for the ‘Jacks.
