Well. More storms across the Valley… I was driving home from a friend’s house at about 7 PM, and got caught in a monster storm. The rain was so heavy drivers were pulling off the road and waiting it out since visibility was at about zero.
Anyway, three of the five games were washed out.

Hitter of the Day
Our hitter of the day is Harrisonburg’s Zach Little, from Wingate! Zach was on base 4 times, going 3-4, with 2 runs, a walk, and a triple. He’s currently 17-57 this summer, with a slash line of 298/365/368. Interestingly, he hit a very similar 295/352/358 in 193 at-bats this spring for Wingate.

Pitcher of the Day
In the second game in which a starter threw 5 no-hit innings, today we have Waynesboro’s Nathan Schneider, from St. Mary’s! Nathan, over just 44 pitches, threw those 5 no-hit, shutout innings, along with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. He earned the win and a game score of 69. He’s 1-0, 2.31 in 11 2/3 inning so far this summer. Nathan did not give up an earned run in 13 2/3 innings this spring for St. Mary’s.
