On this day, June 25th, back in 2013, Staunton lefty James Reeves threw 7 strong innings, allowing 5 hits, 2 unearned runs, 4 walks, and struck out 5 to earn the win for the Braves.
Reeves went on to be drafted by the New York Yankees in the 10th round of the 2015 draft, and is currently pitching in Double-A Trenton, where he is an awesome 1-1, 1.60, with 1 save, a 1.04 WHIP, .144 batting average against, and 46 strikeouts in 33 2/3 innings. I do believe it’s time to see what James could do in Triple-A, or even New York?
