Pitcher of the Day

Woodstock’s Jacob Bradley did yeoman’s work last night for the Bandits, throwing 8 Jacob Bradley Marshall 2018excellent innings against Waynesboro. He allowed 5 hits, 5 walks, 1 run, and struck out 7 to earn a game score of 70 over 110 pitches. Unfortunately, the Generals came back in the bottom of the 9th, and Jacob didn’t get the win. He’s 2-3, 3.98, with 42 K’s in 40 2/3 inning pitched this summer. He has been at Marshall for the last two college seasons, but is listed as attending ASA College in the Fall.

The Valley League hung on to win a close game against the Sunbelt League yesterday afternoon, 6-4. Led by JD Mundy’s 2 hits, 2 walks, run, and 2 RBIs, the VBL is the only summer league to remain undefeated after two years of the Showcase. Click here to read the story on the VBL website.
