In 2012, Rico Noel was in the California League, playing for Lake Elsinore. In 134 games and 514 at-bats, he hit 270/357/305, with 79 runs, 30 RBIs, 14 doubles, 2 triples, a 62/151 BB/K ratio, and 90 stolen bases (he was caught 23 times). By my count, Rico was on first base 185 times… and stole 90 bases. Whoa. Rico was called up to the Yankees in 2015 as a pinch runner, and appeared in 15 games, stealing 5 bases. Now 29 years old, he still stole 53 bases for Lancaster in the Independent Atlantic League.
