Two former Valley Leaguers have been named to Baseball America’s Top 300 Draft List, just posted today (subscription required). The MLB Draft is scheduled for June, but we’ll see if it goes forward as planned.

85. Kyle Nicolas, Ball State (Charlottesville 2018). The 6-foot-4 righthander can reportedly run his fastball up to triple digits. Nicolas started four games for his team this spring, going 0-1, 2.74, with a 0.96 WHIP and 37 strikeouts in 22 1/3 innings pitched.

259. Raymond Gil, Miami (Winchester 2018). The six-foot third baseman went only 10-56 in his short season, but five of the ten hits were for extra bases- two doubles and three home runs.
