Former Staunton righthander Austin Adams (2010-11) has been traded in a seven-player deal from the Seattle Mariners to the San Diego Padres. Catcher Austin Nola “headlines” the deal for San Diego.

Juuust about ready to return from an ACL injury last season, Adams is known for missing bats- he has 63 K’s in 38 total major league innings. He has a chance to play a role in the Padre bullpen as the franchise aims to win its first World Series. (And isn’t Fernando Tatis Jr. something to watch?)
