Today we have a 2019 righthander, Logan Walters from Winchester, against a 2014 righty, Junior Delatorre from Aldie!

  • Logan Walters came to Winchester in 2019 from Motlow State, on his way to Memphis. In eight games, six of them starts, Walters went 3-1, 3.55, with a 1.105 WHIP, 2.6 BB/9, and 9.9 K/9 in 38 innings pitched. He finished third in the league in innings, fourth in batting average against, tied for second in WHIP, and was named the 4th best starter. In Memphis in 2020, Walters appeared in four games, all in relief, and allowed one earned run in 5 1/3 innings. He will be a redshirt senior in 2021.
  • Humberto “Junior” Delatorre played in Aldie in both 2013 and 2014 (but we’ll focus on 2014), coming from USC Beaufort. In eight starts that summer, Delatorre went 3-3, 2.17, with a 1.107 WHIP, 3.8 BB/9, and 9.1 K/9 in 49 2/3 innings pitched. In addition, his .192 batting average against led the league. ATVL named him he 3rd best starter from that season. In his college career at Beaufort, Delatorre went a total of 17-8, 3.11 in 257 1/3 innings pitched, with 104 walks and 200 K’s. He did not go on to pitch in pro ball.
