  • Jared Wetherbee defeated Max Povse in the last round 61.5% to 38.5% (13 votes). His writeup: “Jared Wetherbee was the Valley League Pitcher of the Year in 2018 after allowing a ridiculous SEVEN hits in 25 1/3 innings pitched for Charlottesville. The leftie from Elon, a rising sophomore at the time, finished 3-1, 1.06, with a 0.830 WHIP, 5.0 BB/9, and 15.7 K/9… and a .085 batting average against. He started a game in the playoffs, too, and struck out seven in four innings. Wetherbee was a junior in 2020 (still at Elon), where he started four games before the shutdown. He went 1-1, 3.54, with a 1.43 WHIP, 5.8 BB/9, and 12.0 K/9 in 20 1/3 innings.”
  • Graham Tebbit knocked out Jeff Schank in round one, 91.1% to 8.9% (45 votes), and Aaron Luchterhand in round two, 76.5% to 23.5% (17 votes). His writeup: “Playing for the now-defunct Aldie Senators in 2013, Graham Tebbit walked just six batters in 49 2/3 innings, finishing his summer at 1-3, 1.81, with a 0.885 WHIP, 1.1 BB/9, and 8.0 K/9. Based on those numbers, he was named the 5th best starter in the league by ATVL. On his way to Hofstra, Tebbit pitched there in both 2013 and 2014, going 1-4, 4.48 in 25 games and 54 2/3 college innings. In 2015, he pitched one game for the independent Quebec Capitales in the Can-Am League, but has not pitched in pro ball besides that one game (that I can find).”
