Former Covington Lumberjack Bennett Hostetler has been named the Summit League Player of the Week- already the second time this college season!

Hostetler, a senior infielder for North Dakota State, battered Dayton in a three game sweep over the weekend, going 7-11 with six stolen bases and four RBIs. He’s currently hitting .455/.600/.591 in 44 total at-bats, with 12 runs scored, four doubles, a triple, 11 RBIs, seven hit-by-pitches (!), a 9/12 BB/K ratio, and 11 stolen bases. He’s currently tied for third in all of D-I in stolen bases.

He was also a dynamic player for the ‘Jacks in 2018, hitting .353/.421/.478 in 136 at-bats, with 26 runs scored, 14 doubles, one home run, 21 RBIs, 11/27 BB/K ratio, and five stolen bases. He also went 5-12 in three playoff games. ATVL named him the 14th best hitter in the league that summer.
