Former Woodstock River Bandit Lael Lockhart (2019) was perfect for 6 2/3 innings on the mound for Arkansas in the second round of the SEC tournament against Georgia.

While he fell short of a perfect game, giving up an infield single and then a home run in the 7th inning, Lockhart ended up throwing seven complete innings, allowing two hits and two runs. He struck out 11 and walked none to run his record to 3-2 overall. The Hogs won, 11-2, and the team is now amazingly 43-10.

Overall this season, Lockhart is 3-2, 4.26, with 41 hits, 16 walks, and 60 strikeouts in 50 2/3 innings pitched.

Oh, by the way, while Lockhart didn’t pitch for the Bandits two summers ago, he did hit, and was ATVL’s 5th best hitter after slashing .342/.469/.631 in 111 regular season at-bats, along with 11 doubles, seven home runs, 36 runs, 27 RBIs, and an excellent 23/17 BB/K ratio.

Watch for his name to be called in the MLB draft in July!
