Hitter of the Day

What a big day this was. But our hitter of the day is none other than Staunton’s Marshall Awtry, who went 2-4 in game two against Front Royal, with two runs, five RBIs, and two home runs. From Goldey Beacom College, Awtry hit nine doubles and six home runs in college this spring. We love our multi-homerun games here at ATVL!

Pitcher of the Day

Our pitcher of the day is pretty clearly New Market’s Joey Cobb, who dominated the Harrisonburg Turks in game two last night. Cobb threw six shutout innings while allowing only four hits and two walks, while striking out 10. From Lenoir-Rhyne, Cobb struck out 20 batters in 17 innings this spring.
