Hitter of the Day
Our hitter of the day is New Market’s Cameron Dean, from Charleston. Dean went 2-3 last night, with a walk, double, and RBI. Dean hit .202/.292/.232 in 99 at-bats this spring in school. He’s 4-12 this summer so far.

Pitcher of the Day
Our pitcher of the day is Staunton’s Ryan McCarty, who threw five excellent innings against Charlottesville, allowing only four hits, one earned run, no walks, and struck out five. He didn’t get a decision, but ended with a 60 game score. It was his first outing on the bump this summer. He led his college team in ERA this spring, going 3-1, 1.69, with 19 K’s in 21 1/3 innings.
