Take a look at the top ten slugging percentages in the league since 2004:
1 | Tyler Townsend | Winchester | 2008 | 0.739 |
2 | Jon Love | Front Royal | 2004 | 0.731 |
3 | Mac Williamson | Harrisonburg | 2011 | 0.706 |
Joseph Odom | Winchester | 2012 | 0.706 | |
5 | Jimmy Yezzo | Winchester | 2012 | 0.679 |
6 | Ryan Sullivan | Covington | 2012 | 0.676 |
7 | Steve McQuail | Front Royal | 2009 | 0.669 |
8 | Collin Cowgill | Covington | 2005 | 0.659 |
9 | Bradley Picha | Winchester | 2012 | 0.657 |
Julian Ridings | Waynesboro | 2012 | 0.657 |
Seven of the 10 played professional ball, while two of them have played in the major leagues (Williamson and Cowgill). Odom, Williamson, and Cowgill are the only ones left in organized ball, though, as Townsend retired, and Yezzo, McQuail, and Ridings have all been released.
No 2015 entries on the list- in fact, the most recent season in 2012, with 5 players (the year of the home run!).
