It stands to reason that our career RBI list would be pretty similar to the career home runs list- in fact, the first 7 names on this list are repeats from the HR list. The last three, though, are not.

The top RBI career totals since the 2006 draft:

1 Clint Robinson Harrisonburg ’05-06 587

2 Tony Thomas Harrisonburg ’05 422

3 Joey Butler New Market ’06 399

4 Rebel Ridling Covington ’06 374

5 Ben Guez Covington ’06 370

6 Ryan Schimpf Luray ’08 364

7 Blake Tekotte Woodstock ’06 336

8 Eric Campbell Luray ’06 330

9 Greg Sexton New Market ’04 312

10 Scott Cousins Harrisonburg ’05 299

Campbell, Sexton, and Cousins are not among the top 10 in home runs. Lots of major leaguers on this list- Robinson, Butler, Tekotte, Campbell, and Cousins all have entries in the baseball encyclopedia. Thomas, Guez and Schimpf are still active and could conceivably get the call, while Ridling and Sexton are out of pro ball.

Three of these players were in the league in 2005; six in 2006, and one each in 2004 and 2008.

Next up is career walks!
