#13 Reliever: Jordan Silverman, Staunton

jordan-silverman-rider-2016The 13th best relief pitcher in the 2016 Valley League season is Staunton’s Jordan Silverman, from Rider!

Jordan went 1-2, 2.25 in 19 appearances for the Braves. He saved one game, and finished with a 1.179 WHIP, 3.5 BB/9, and 8.0 K/9. He led the league in games pitched. The 6-foot-1 lefty also threw 2/3 of an inning in the playoffs.

In his freshman year at Rider in 2016, Jordan went 1-1, 11.88 in 8 1/3 innings pitched. He allowed 9 hits, 11 earned runs, 8 walks, and struck out 8.

In researching Jordan, ATVL noticed that he pitched in the Carpenter Cup at Citizen’s Bank Park in 2014. (Jordan’s from Holland, PA.) ATVL played first base at Veteran’s Stadium in the Carpenter Cup in 1988!

Anyway, congratulations, Jordan, on your excellent summer!
