There were several Tom Sox hitters in consdieration for this spot, but the Sox winner is Patrick McColl, from Harvard! Patrick went 4-5, with 4 runs, 2 RBIs, and a walk. He has hit in all 7 games so far this summer, and is slashing 542/600/625 in 24 at-bats with 5 walks against 0 strikeouts. Now, that’s a good start.

Pitcher of the Day

Another Front Royal pitcher is our winner (4th out of 10 days); this time it’s lefty Christopher Krennrich, from the College of Lake County! Christopher threw 6 2/3 innings and allowed 4 hits, 1 earned run, 1 walk, and struck out 9. He earned the win and a game score of 70. He’s started two games this summer, and is currently 1-0, 1.68, with 12 strikeouts in 10 2/3 innings pitched. For Lake County this spring, he went 3-5, 3.60, with 63 K’s in 45 innings. He’s playing for NC Central in 2018-19.
